Leelanau Senior Expo 2025

The annual Leelanau Senior Expo was held on June 17. Leelanau Senior Services hosts this amazing annual event filled with resources, food, and prizes. Up North Prevention and Substance Free Leelanau provided medication safety tips especially for older adults. Seniors can be on multiple medications from a variety of health care providers, and are also affected differently by many medications than their younger counterparts. We also provided Deterra bags for safe and simple home disposal of unneeded or expired medications, Narcan to have on hand to help reverse opioid overdoses, and medication lock boxes to prevent inappropriate access to medications. It was great getting to connect with 116 community members to promote their wellness!
