Mission:

Pulling Together is a substance misuse prevention coalition that coordinates initiatives and family resources to empower youth to choose a substance free lifestyle through collaboration of agencies and program leadership.

About Us:

The Pulling Together Coalition is a group of community stakeholders, who collaborate to address family and youth challenges in Cheboygan County. Initiatives have included Adverse Childhood Experiences trainings, support of the Cheboygan County Child Advocacy Council; and the support of P2P (the youth-led coalition) and community events. New members are welcome.

YOUTH COMPONENT:

Prevent 2 Protect (P2P) is a youth-led group. Youth, who participate in this coalition, will receive training, develop and implement their own action plan and build leadership skills by engaging with the community to prevent and reduce youth substance use. Some examples of action plan items are offering fun substance free activities/events for youth, creating a media campaign (podcast, videos, etc.), handing out flyers at sport events, making presentations in classrooms, community organizations and/or government officials.
