Summertime is a great time to explore our community while getting some exercise and fresh air with friends! Leelanau Investing for Teens (LIFT) organizes some great experiences, including a gorgeous hike on several miles of fairly easy paths at the Treat Farm in Empire. After enjoying the views of Lake Michigan, we stopped in at the Grocer's Daughter to enjoy sack lunches from Suttons Bay Schools and celebrated one teen's birthday with gelato at Grocer's Daughter. We capped off the day watching the Mario Brothers Movie and enjoying popcorn back at the Friendship Center. What a healthy, fun, companionable way to spend a summer day!
