Alcona SLS Hosts Inspiring Leadership Forum

The Alcona chapter of Students Leading Students (SLS) hosted a leadership forum in May, with representatives from the Atlanta and Tawas chapters in attendance. The event featured a facilitated training led by Dawn Flood, Executive Director of Student Leadership Services, and a keynote address by Simon Pompa, a Peer Recovery Coach with Catholic Human Services (CHS). Pompa shared his personal journey of addiction and recovery, along with the work he now does at CHS. Several students stayed after the forum to personally thank him for attending and sharing his story.
