The Live Well Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition, The Antrim Substance Free Resource Alliance, Safe in Northern Michigan, Harm Reduction Michigan, and Catholic Human Services, all joined forces during Alden Days in Antrim County in July. The groups came together during the event, in an effort to reduce the risks of death from overdose and provide substance use prevention education within Antrim, Kalkaska, and Northern Michigan. Free Narcan and training for reversing opioid overdose was provided, as well as Deterra bags for safe drug disposal, lock boxes for safe medication storage, and a variety of resource information.
