In preparation for back to school, Alcona High School hosted Project Connect, a multi-agency support program for Alcona families; connecting parents, caregivers and youth with supplies, materials and fresh produce. Up North Prevention supplied the event with substance use information for parents, testing kits for nicotine and cannabis, as well as Narcan. Approximately 100 people were in attendance with 11 agencies providing materials for the event.
