Stephanie Weizer, Prevention Specialist for Otsego and Cheboygan counties, attended the MiCareer Quest event in Gaylord on May 16th. Over 1,200 students in grades 8-12 attended from 22 schools across 11 counties. There were 90 exhibits throughout the day that provided hands-on career activities. Stephanie brought a jeopardy game that she uses with students to go over facts about vaping, marijuana, alcohol and addiction. She also brought information on other programs that Catholic Human Services/Up North Prevention does within the community. Stephanie talked about what she does in her role with Up North Prevention as well as education requirements and different programs that she is certified to teach while promoting a substance free future for the students.
