The Up North Prevention team from Catholic Human Services recently attended the 2026 Rural Michigan Opioid and Substance Use Summit in Gaylord, joining professionals from across the state who are dedicated to strengthening prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery efforts. The summit provided valuable continuing education, opportunities to learn about innovative programs, and meaningful conversations with partners working to improve the health and well-being of Michigan communities. Events like this help ensure our team continues bringing the latest evidence-based strategies and resources back to the people we serve throughout Northern Michigan.
While the conference focused on serious topics, we also know the importance of laughter and connection. As our team photo proves, we haven't lost our sense of humor! Sometimes the best way to recharge after a day of learning is by making a few silly faces together. At Up North Prevention, we believe that building healthier communities takes knowledge, collaboration, compassion, and every now and then, a little goofiness to remind us why we love the work we do.
