Rogers City SLS Partners with Local Radio Station

Rogers City Students Leading Students (SLS) had a fantastic and productive day partnering with a local radio station during their lunch hour.

Our Rogers City SLS chapter members spent the afternoon recording upcoming radio ads focused on important topics affecting today’s youth, including distracted driving, saying no to vaping, choosing a natural high, and handling life’s pressures in healthy ways.

The day kicked off with lunch, followed by recording their radio spots, and wrapped up with a chapter meeting. Students had a great time learning about radio broadcasting while also using their voices to promote positive choices.

These student-created ads are designed to raise awareness among their peers and help inform the community about making safe and healthy decisions. We are proud of our students for stepping up, speaking out, and making a difference.
