Alpena High School's Freshmen Bash

At the Freshman Bash at Alpena High School, the Alpena Students Leading Students (SLS) coalition helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for incoming 9th graders. Members of the coalition organized an interactive game and facilitated icebreaker activities designed to ease nerves and build connections among the freshmen.

Their enthusiastic presence and peer-to-peer support helped new students feel more comfortable navigating their new environment, while also promoting a sense of belonging and school spirit. Through their leadership and positive energy, SLS members made sure every freshman felt seen, supported, and excited to begin their high school journey.
