National Red Ribbon Week is observed annually from October 23–31. Live Well Kalkaska Substance Free Coalition celebrated Red Ribbon Week by bringing prevention education and healthy choices to over 1,800 students at every public school in Kalkaska County, along with some homeschool students! This month, Up North Prevention provided the Crawford County Jail with 50 wellness bags for individuals returning to the community following incarceration. Each bag included toiletries, socks, a pen and notepad, community resources, and naloxone.
